今回の写真展では2020年に出版した写真集『The Dreaming』と2023年出版の写真集『Into the Silence』
から厳選した作品15点を展示します。『The Dreaming』はモノクロ作品を、『Into the Silence』はカラー
作品を集めた作品集ですが、双方ともテーマは“旅”であり、写真を通して私が語っていることに違いはありません。50才のときに編んだ『The Dreaming』は写真を始めた二十代の頃から四十代後半までの作品をランダムに並べ
たもので、『Into the Silence』は四十代の半ばから足繁く通うようになった北日本の風景を一冊にまとめたものです。

プロフィール
小川康博（おがわ・やすひろ）1968年神奈川県生まれ。1989年神奈川大学外国語学部卒。
フリーランスの写真家。2000年第37回太陽賞、2009年日本写真協会新人賞受賞。
写真集に『Slowly Down the River』 (クレオ)、『島語り』『Cascade』『TheDreaming』（蒼穹舎）、
『Into the Silence』（Photo Editions + Blue Lotus Editions）などがある。
現在、Blue Lotus Gallery（香港）、Galerie Sophie Scheidecker（パリ）、Buchkunst Berlin（ベルリン）
の所属アーティストとして活動。東京在住。

In this exhibition, I will showcase 15 selected works from my two photobooks: “The Dreaming” (published in 2020) and “Into the Silence” (published in 2023). “The Dreaming” features monochrome works, while “Into the Silence” is a collection of color photographs. Despite the difference in format, both photobooks share a common theme: “journey”. The stories I convey through photography remain consistent in both works.
“The Dreaming”, which I compiled at the age of 50, is a random selection of images taken from my twenties, when I first started photography, through to my late forties. In contrast, “Into the Silence” brings together the landscapes of northern Japan, a region I have visited frequently since my mid-forties. I hope you will enjoy viewing the works.

Yasuhiro Ogawa (Ogawa Yasuhiro)
Born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1968. Graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Kanagawa University, in 1989. Freelance photographer. Recipient of the 37th Taiyo Award (2000) and the Japan Photographic Society Newcomer Award (2009).
His published photobooks include “Slowly Down the River” (Crevis), “Shimagatari”, “Cascade”, “The Dreaming” (Sokyusha), and “Into the Silence” (Photo Editions + Blue Lotus Editions).
Currently active as an artist affiliated with Blue Lotus Gallery (Hong Kong), Galerie Sophie Scheidecker (Paris), and Buchkunst Berlin (Berlin). Based in Tokyo.
